I worked with Billie at USI and remember well her dedication to duty, her intelligence and skills, and her dislike of frogs :-). She was a wonderful lady.
Billie Ruth McKinley, 88, was called home on December 4, 2018. She was born on March 29, 1930 to Robert and Flora Axton in Marion, Indiana.
Billie was married for many wonderful years to her late husband Jimmy. They loved each other very much and did everything together. They enjoyed travelling together. One of her favorite trips with him was when they went to Hawaii and attended a luau. She retired from Mead Johnson as a secretary and was a graduate of Reitz High School. She absolutely adored elephants. They were her favorite animal. She loved her family and will be dearly missed.
Billie is survived by many loving nieces and nephews, great, and great-great nieces and nephews.
Billie is preceded in death by her husband Jimmy McKinley, her parents Robert and Flora Axton, and her sisters Yvette Irvine and Genora Marie “Sue” Axton.
Billie will be laid to rest on Wednesday, December 12th at Gardens of Memory Memorial Park. A graveside service will be at 10:30 in the morning.
